A cold-chain foods distributor brought temperature compliance and HoReCa standing orders under control
The challenge
A distributor of frozen and chilled foods supplying restaurants, hotels, and caterers across two cities had no systematic way to prove cold-chain integrity. Temperature excursions during transit went unrecorded until a customer complained about spoiled stock. Recurring HoReCa orders — standing weekly deliveries to dozens of kitchens — were managed on paper, so par levels were guessed and deliveries were frequently short or over.
The solution
DistroOps cold-chain workflows now log temperature checks at dispatch and delivery, flagging any excursion against the required range so spoiled stock is caught before it reaches a kitchen. HoReCa standing-order and par-level management replaced the paper system: each venue has a defined par level, recurring orders generate automatically, and reps adjust on the spot. Delivery runs carry photo proof-of-delivery.
